I left my heart in India

It's been months since my trip to India and I am yet to really write about the experience. How can I capture something that means so much to me into words? My personal journal entries during the trip don't even give the experience justice.

Every now and then, at the most random times, thoughts from the experience come to mind. The memories make me laugh, cry, and smile inside and out.

Maybe sometime from now I'll have the heart and the words to tell you the story. For now, I'll share a piece of my heart with you:

They stole my heart.

I miss being called "sis-tuh" or "ahn-tee", taking "one more picture" for them, getting tackled by their hugs, and teaching them how to fiddle with my camera and take pictures. I miss the laughter they always had in their eyes, the songs they had on their lips, and the joy they had in their hearts.

I've never felt so much love and I've never loved so much.
